Upcoming Work

Bundanon / Accessible Arts Residency

David has just been selected for the Bundanon Trust Artist-in-Residence program, in partnership with Accessible Arts. Along with his fellow artists – Kath Harding, Dani Pearce, Catherine Rogers and Madeleine Stewart – he will be spending a week in Bundanon working on an original queer science-fiction screenplay.

Body Blow

In August 2023, David joined the crew on Body Blow, a queer crime feature from Breathless Films, JJ Splice and writer/director Dean Francis, in the role of Key Grip. This exciting new genre work also features Tom Rodgers of The Hero Leaves One Tooth alongside a cast of Aussie screen legends!

Copycat

Indie developers Spoonful Of Wonder cast David as the Wildlife Expert in their debut video game Copycat. The project was developed with support from Screen Australia and is expected to launch in late 2023.

You can pre-order Copycat on Steam now!

Theatrical Archiving

We may seem single-minded about film, but we’re passionate about theatre, too. Our practitioners have exquisite spatial awareness and a strong background in theatrical dramaturgy; we know just how to make your performance feel like the viewer is in amongst the action.

Our StageOnScreen service uses multi-cam coverage, professional sound-recording and an intensive edit to produce a full-length archival cut of your show. We then build promotions of any desired length to help your theatre company conquer the world.

Creative Director

David Molloy is a filmmaker, writer and performer. A graduate of both the University of Wollongong and AFTRS, he has co-written three feature documentaries with One Heart Pictures (The Road I Travel, 2013; The Road to Peace, 2014; and Life Challenge Kokoda, 2015), and has worked internationally across stage and screen.

In over a decade of creative practice, David has garnered an eclective skillset and a passion for multiform artmaking. His work retains a strong relationship to both theatre and film, often blending media to explore new, liminal spaces. He was selected for both the Arts Front Under 30 Symposium in 2018 and the National Theatre of Parramatta’s Playwrights of Parramatta (PoP) program in 2019.

Outside of his arts practice, David held the editor’s chair for youth brands The BRAG and 5why, and facilitated filmmaking workshops for young people at Shopfront Arts Co-Op, IPAC and CuriousWorks. He has provided videography services to creative businesses through Irony Mark Films since 2013.
